Roger assists, mentors and coaches senior executives and directors of companies with clear thinking about their companies’ self-governance; strategy; innovation / business development; and values and value-based management. He has served on the board of numerous private companies, locally and abroad and, for ten years, served on the board of a JSE-listed company, served on the Audit Committee and was chair of the Risk Committee.
He left medicine thirty years ago, was a senior manager in industry and, in enterprise consulting for the past two decades, has served clients in southern and eastern Africa in diverse industries including, inter alia, engineering, mining, information & telecommunications, academia, plastic & woven products, agriculture, agro-processing, FMCG, food and animal feed, industry organizations, health care, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, and in the non-profit sector.
Roger has been a part-time lecturer at two local business schools and has also contributed to both executive and director education in open and customized programmes, to large corporations and to executive MBA students from the UK, Germany, and the Netherlands.
Qualifications & Affiliations: M.B., Ch.B. (UCT); Ph.D. (Med) (US); Graduate Diploma in Company Direction (GIMT) and is a Fellow of the Institute of Directors in Southern Africa.
